Vancouver, BC - With the addition of the Canadian manufactured UV Flatbed from Gandi Innovations and Oce Canada, PacBlue has expanded their digital imaging capabilities to include "Printing Directly to Substrates"
With the UV Flatbed we're now able to print directly on traditional mounting boards like FomeCore, Sintra, Gatorboard and Coroplast. The exciting news is we can also print directly on wood, glass, metal - even tiles - it's only limited by our customers' imagination.
This 6 colour device has a printing bed that accommodates materials up to 5'x10' with a maximum thickness of 2 inches.
An outdoor print life of up to 3 years is achieved by using UV cured inks - to increase the print life or add a glossy finish, a laminate or coating can be applied.
The speed and savings of printing directly to substrates opens up new markets for longer runs of signage, banners and other uses. We're currently working on a large project that will have us printing directly to both sides of 100 doors that have 8 different designs! Because the UV Flatbed is a digital printer you can produce unique designs with as much, or as little, colour that you desire without concern for costly setups that are inherent with other printing processes.
"PacBlue is known for pushing the envelope of what's possible. The addition of the UV Flatbed not only gives us amazing capabilities; it produces the final product at an impressive speed without compromising quality." - says Jonathan Colley, owner and President of PacBlue.
