On Thursday, November 22nd, The House of Blues was transformed into The PB Universe as we celebrated the 5th annual Open House at PacBlue.

We look forward to this event every year as it gives us an opportunity to thank our customers and to meet you all in person.

This year's theme was "Your Digital Printing Superheroes", and it was a great success.

The evening started at 5 pm when guests began arriving. Greeted at the door by PacBlue staff, guests were then given a "comic book" programme and name badge and sent on their way for a Super tour of the PB Universe. After passing under Spiderman in the stairwell, our own Superheroes "The Fantastic Five and a Half" (our Sales Reps dressed as Action Heroes) were waiting to serve a glass of beer or wine in the general office. Super Colour Guy (Andrew) and Vinyl Man (Keith) were heroic in their demeanour and set the scene for things to come. Dr. Digital (Adam), Repro Dude (Greg), The Incredible Imager (Paul) and Captain Co-ordinator (Myke) were super-charged as they showed their customers our vast array of digital equipment. At times their super-powers took over and they had to be subdued by the odd chicken ball or "Vinnie stick".

The tour took guests through the Scanning and CAD office, where our new Rack and Panel Server stands, down to the OCÉ department and on to the Colour, Quick Copy and Finishing departments. People were able to view most of the equipment in operation and many colourful posters were printed up on the spot, as samples were being requested.

Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman and The Tick were some of the many characters waiting around each corner (bring back any memories of dashing home from school to catch your favourite Superhero on TV or burying your nose in that comic book, perhaps hidden inside a text book?).

The tour culminated in the Pac Cave (a huge tent in the back parking lot). On entering the Pac Cave the mood was set by an awesome display of Gotham City and eighteen 4' x 6' posters of Batman, his friends and foes. A warm and festive atmosphere in the tent was created by great music (a few guests were caught singing along to the Batman theme song) and a delectable variety of finger food. Close to 400 people enjoyed the vibe and eats as the party continued on into the evening.

Guests were asked to return their badges for a lucky draw when they left and 39 door prizes will be delivered to the winners personally by our superheroes.
