On Thursday, September 18th, "Team PacBlue" welcomed our valued customers and friends to the Grand Opening of our new facility at 380 West 2nd Avenue in Vancouver.
This exciting event was an opportunity to open our doors and celebrate our 6th Open House which once again was a great success.
We, the PacBlue Team always look forward to meeting with you, our customers in person and this year we were very proud to show you around our new home.
Surrounded by images of sporting greats scanned on our new Cruse Scanner and printed on our LightJet 430, guests wandered
around familiarizing themselves with the new facility and equipment. Our extremely knowledgeable Team offered invaluable
information as they toured people around the building.
An exciting addition this year was our guest speaker, 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist Robert "Blast Off" Esmie who held the floor every 40 minutes as he explained
how one bad hand-off could ruin an entire race. Robert is preparing to compete in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens in the 100m race and we at PacBlue are
proud to be sponsoring him in this endeavor. Robert's enthusiasm, self discipline, attitude, commitment and incredible talent are an inspiration to all
who come in contact with him. Everyone enjoyed his presentation immensely.
In the Boardroom, Devlin Russel (our colour specialist) presented a Colour Management seminar that demonstrated our comprehensive colour
management system. This attracted a lot of interest and we will be running these seminars on an ongoing basis at your request.
After the tour was over, it was down to the loading bay, where refreshments were waiting. To the sounds of Hockey night in Canada,
Queen and Take me out to the Ball Game among others, guests sat on bleachers and chowed down on Jumbo Smokies from Hot Dog Johnny's,
peanuts, nachos, popcorn, mini-donuts, cookies and of course those amazing cakes courtesy of Louise Beaton! Not to mention the
beer and wine that were flowing.
Once again the party continued well into the evening and a lot of fun was had by all.
To all our guests who graced our event, thank you and for those of you who were unable to make it, please give your salesman a
call and set up a time for a personal tour of our new location. We look forward to seeing you.
